The Role

As an Assistant Manager in our Audit Team, you will support the management of a portfolio of clients and assist in the delivery of high-quality audit and business advisory services. The portfolio includes a mix of owner-managed businesses and subsidiaries of multinational clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with teams and clients.
  • Support the management and development of audit teams, including coaching and mentoring junior staff.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and completion of audit assignments to ensure delivery of high-quality service.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the Audit process and support the Manager/Partner in managing client relationships.
  • Ensure assignments are completed in line with agreed client deliverables and timelines.
  • Work closely with Managers and Partners in the ongoing development of services provided to the client portfolio.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g. Tax, Corporate Finance) to deliver integrated solutions to clients.

Key Competencies

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 1–2 years PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and Audit principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to client service and problem solving.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude.
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
