A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, Ronan’s core expertise is with Charities and Not for Profit organisations and mid size organisations. He regularly performs risk reviews, appraises internal controls policies and procedures and reports to those charged with governance.
Ronan has also spent some time abroad in Australia where he worked on a number of high profile charities and not for profit organisations. He also acts as Responsible Individual on a number of our large audit charity clients. Ronan plays a key role in audit succession planning and staff continuity to ensure increased efficiency and control is an integral part of the audit process.
Ronan is also responsible for a portfolio of Credit Union clients covering external audit, internal audit and Risk and compliance outsourced solutions. Ronan has been a regular speaker at RBK Credit Union conferences on Internal audit and Risk and compliance. He has also contributed articles to Credit Union publications and e-zines issued to Credit Union managers.
Ronan holds an International Commerce with French (Hons) degree from University College Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002, Ronan joined RBK in 2006 as Audit Manager. Prior to joining RBK, Ronan trained in Grant Thornton and worked after his articles in PWC for a number of years.
