RBK Proudly Supports the ‘Oncology / Haematology Patient Comfort Fund’

RBK were delighted to present the ‘Oncology / Haematology Patient Comfort Fund’ in the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, with a cheque in the sum of €11,000 this week.

This fundraising initiative is one that is close to all of our hearts and in particular to some of our staff members. The support and donations received for our colleague and Partner, Chris Ball, who had his head shaved, far exceeded our expectations. We were delighted with the response from staff, clients and our wider community. As a firm, we are proud to further contribute to the fund and bring the total donation to €11,000.

On receiving the donation, Aine Corcoran, Clinical Nurse Manager 3 – Oncology / Haematology Department, MRHT, said, “A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to you all and all those who donated to the fundraiser. We will endeavour to use these funds for patient personal care and personal care items, particularly for inpatients and also to help towards our efforts to build for increased capacity into our service to provide further facilities for our patients and their comfort.”

Sporting a new look Chris Ball said, “This is a great cause and I am overwhelmed at the support that this fundraising initiative has received in the office, from clients, friends and family. It speaks volumes about how everyone has been effected by cancer in some way and if what I have done helps people attending the department in some little way that is fantastic and makes it all worthwhile.”
