As the financial landscape in which we operate continues to prove challenging for Credit Unions, transfers of engagements and amalgamations will continue.

While The Credit Union Restructuring Board’s (ReBo) was in operation, its vision was, "for vibrant and sustainable credit unions that are credible, trustworthy providers of financial services to their members". This vision is still very relevant.

For some Credit Unions, the decision to enter into a merger or transfer of engagements process is a necessary move to secure survival; for others, it may be a strategic move to secure growth and provide broader services to members.
